With ReBoot Northwest on your side, you won’t have to navigate the process of applying for jobs alone. Every program participant will be matched with an experienced career coach to guide them along the way. Together, coaches and participants will identify a path to full-time employment in the tech or manufacturing industries using education, training, internships, job shadowing or paid placement as steps to a long-term career. The timeline to employment varies depending on each individual participant and the career they are pursuing.

Meet: Tom Brown
“I enjoy connecting with local employers and learning about their businesses, and also meeting job seekers and then connecting the two. It’s the best of both worlds.”
Before joining WorkSource in 2009, Tom was a hiring manager in the retail, food service, and golf industries. For the past several years as a Workforce Advisor, Tom has connected job seekers with employers through on-the-job training programs. And while we can tell you that Tom loves what he does, we’d rather you hear it straight from him.

Meet: Wendy Lebow, MSW
“ReBoot NW is a great opportunity to work with participants to help them match their interests, skills and dreams to a great education and a great job.”
Prior to this, for many years, I worked in county government, including in management. When I was laid-off during the recession, for the first time in my life I had difficulty finding a job. During the past five years, I have been at WorkSource East and Mt. Hood Community College, where I have helped job seekers and students in their career exploration, training and job placement. I particularly enjoy assisting people in finding their dream and matching it to training and then onto their career path.

Meet: Jacob Miller
“I view career coaching as a chance to provide direction for the people who may otherwise feel lost along the journey to becoming fulfilled professionally.”
I am new to the WorkSource Vancouver program, but I’m no stranger to working with people to achieve the best possible results. I served as a case manager for the child care program in Hawaii before making the move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. A military veteran with a college degree in business and a good deal of personal experience when it comes to job searching and overcoming adversity, I can empathize with the struggle and am committed to setting dedicated people along the pathway to success.
