You are here
You’ve already taken the first step. Does the program sound like a good fit for you? Take the next step and attend a ReBoot Information Session. You may also contact a program specialist with questions.
You will hear from a ReBoot coach within 5 business days after you contact them. What are you waiting for?
Information session
Attend a ReBoot Information Session to learn more about grant details, eligibility, application and training opportunities from a ReBoot coach. The Reboot coach will provide application forms and more information about next steps. There are regular ReBoot Information Sessions scheduled at each WorkSource center.
ReBoot Information Sessions take place every two weeks or so. Find the WorkSource center closest to you and let them know you’re interested.
Program application
All ReBoot candidates must first be registered with WorkSource. The ReBoot application forms ask for more information about your education and employment history. You will also be asked to share your resume. Once the ReBoot coach reviews your information, they will contact you about next steps.
Program applications can take as little as an hour to complete, depending on the accessibility of your job history information.
Readiness interview
If it seems like you might be a good fit for the program, the ReBoot coach will contact you to learn more about you and your goals. The interview can happen in person, at a WorkSource office or over the phone.
If you are a good fit, the ReBoot coach will schedule a readiness interview for as soon as possible, depending on your availability.
Enrollment determination
After your application and readiness interview, you will be flagged for ReBoot enrollment or referred to other services. If selected for ReBoot, you must complete informed consent and online Baseline Information Form for the DOL Research & Evaluation Study. Once these are complete, you will be randomly assigned (50% into ReBoot services and 50% into control group). Those in the control group will be referred to other services. If you aren’t selected for ReBoot, don’t worry – WorkSource and the community have many other programs that may be beneficial to you.
Your program enrollment will be determined within a week or so of your application to the program. You may be enrolled in ReBoot or referred to other services.
Career planning
Once selected to the program, your career coach will work with you to map your career and develop a career plan – identifying the job you want and all the steps it will take to get there.
Career planning and mapping is a core part of the ReBoot program and will be initiated within a week or so of your program enrollment.
Career link course
Career Link is a tech or manufacturing focused industry immersion experience that features tours, labor market info, work readiness training and other courses that will help get you up to speed on the career you are seeking. The majority of program participants will participate in these courses, however, some may go directly to a certification or placement, depending on their experience.
Career Link courses are 2 to 4 week focused courses that take place from 9AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday. New courses will be offered regularly.
Training
Program participants may need a certification, degree or skill upgrade to be ready for their career. ReBoot may be able to fund these trainings through program scholarships.
Timelines vary, depending on the certification, degree or skill being attained.
Work experience
When participants are ready, some may be placed in a paid position with a program partner through an internship or on-the-job training.
Work-based learning typically last 1 – 6 months.
Employment
Find a permanent job as soon as possible. We have recently added several Financial Tech Companies to our list of hiring employers. Some of the names include financial services companies like Travel Merchant Service, PsBill, Capvance Advance, and The Merchant Advisor.
ReBoot NW staff will support you as you secure a position related to your target occupation.
